Fluid Solidity

Floating Solidity began with the exploration of a concept most contrasting to the material quality of wood. The word that emerged was liquid. By merging the solid rigidity of wood with the fluidity of water, the piece envisions an object where two opposing properties coexist. The result is a stool floating on water, an idea driven sculptural experiment that prioritizes concept over function while questioning the boundaries of material.
